Yippee yays! (I think i got this phrase from Audrey?)

Been EEEEEOOOOOONNNNSSSS since i last blogged. And i'm blogging now cos i'm in a pretty good mood, having registered successfully for my modules for the upcoming semester AT FIRST GO.

Wahaha. =P

Anw, Happy HALF YEAR to Jeri & Dearico! (And many more to go!)
It feels so weird; as though i'm announcing to my readers. And i hope you do share my joy, bleah. But actually all i wanted is to jot down the details and remember the dates! =)

The past 2 months have no been easy. Seriously. The exam fervour caught up with me and towards the end of examinations which spanned ard 3 FREAKING weeks long for my pathetic 4 papers (i ended on the last day of exam), i had lost all steam. I wanted to let go; just scrape through. Rico told me to hang on, egged me on, bought me sweets and snacks to encourage me... Where to find u tell me! hahahas. Ok, i'm joking. But eh, i'm really appreciative, seriously.

He offered his place for me to study (and stay over), made sure i study, and most of all, he accompanied throughout the many many weeks i started getting down to preparations for the exams. Though he was playing DOTA and Dekaron most of the time, the company was really something I had never taken for granted. He knows that if he goes out, i would be tempted to go along too, so he stayed home, only bringing me out for strolls or breathers every now and then, and also, for good food. He has got a picky tastebud so if you were to ask him for recommendations, you would have come to the right person. Hees.

Now to update the things that have been going on throughout November till now…:

1. Audrey came back to SG on 21st Nov! FINALLY… But it was a pity I didn’t manage to fetch her from the airport as Rico was still very sick and it was awkward for me to go meet drey (and her many friends) alone. Bleah. Sorry Drey! =S And apologies to Teen for not attending your birthday celebration at O Bar too!

2. Took my exams from 14th-28th Nov. 3 Fridays long! =((( But was nice meeting up with old friends at old spot to mug hard. And exchanging questions and answers… Very nice of my dear friend Hongli! Heeee.

Another special mention is another friend Chioky chiok… I must say she’s really really strong. Despite the performances and rehearsals for her ballet performance, she has had to juggle with studies and also taking care of her hospitalised dad. She’s really earned my admiration for her courage and for being so strong, so strong that even when her dad passed away, she didn’t tell us – she didn’t want us to worry I guess? So strong that when we were at her dad’s wake, her bf told us she didn’t cry after Day 1 I think. She was told her dad wouldn’t go in peace if the family cries. How strong to suppress the tears for a family member that have lived so dearly; meant so much to her.

So strong that she is still able to perform on stage in her tutu and ballet pumps with a huge smile. Professionalism of it all exuding from this young lady – someone who will definitely go very far in life. Fate has decreed tough times for her, but she doesn’t falter. She grits her teeth and trudges on, knowing that she can conquer the fears, the tears and win the cheers… It ain’t easy at all. And it’s really surprising that she is so strong. She is just that strong. I’m proud of you, Chiok!

3. Our 5th month celebration was at My Secret Garden, which has won rave reviews from even Mediacorp artistes like Priscelia Chan in the episode or something… Was quite a posh place and the ambience was really nice. The thrill was, I didn’t expect him to bring me to such a nice place, given that he’s still serving NS and not raking in big bucks you see? It’s always nice knowing that he plans way in advance and makes the extra efforts to save up just so he could pop up nice surprises.=P

Thank you!!!!!!!

That’s OUR secret garden… =)

Looking all dressed up

I love the tealights!

I ordered this grilled chicken; while he ordered for the cod fish which was the most ex on the menu, but...

(Note the meagre amount of fish?)

Dessert was at some other place in Bugis; what’s the name again? They serve really fresh fruits on their shaved ice! Yummy yummy yummy, but greedy Jeri just focused on eating that she had forgotten to take pictures! Hahahas.

These few months we hadn’t really shopped, and I couldn’t even remember when was the last time I made my way down to Orchard to SHOP. I love grocery shopping though; cos I know New Year is coming and we gotta clean up the house! Haa. And I love to cook for him, and my family as well! I learnt a few dishes from his mum and there was once we were making sunny side ups when the egg he broke open had 2 egg yolks! How cute and how lucky la! Goodness. Imagine my elation and pride when he said that one of the dishes was like his mum’s cooking! =PPP But well, I know there’s a long way to go from here, cos his mum can really cook super super well. And she knows many many dishes and soups. Salute!

To Rico:

Through the ups and downs, we learn and grow.

I am thankful that my life has become so much more colourful because of you… =)

Thanks for taking care of my baby cousins together

(yes, u sure are attractive when u play and coo wif kids),

cooking our meals together,

giving me morning calls to wake me up to study,

bringing me to the temple to pray together,

patting me to sleep at night,

hugging me tightly in ur warm embrace,

and always bombarding me with teasings and “koo-chee-ings”.

Most importantly, thanks for tolerating with my “London Choco Roll”-s,

and my many other nonsensical singing + lameness.
(I know it’s not easy to laugh at a joke which is not funny.

And that’s why u don’t laugh. =.=”)

Thanks for the shower of love and the gift of understanding.

Jeri Loves You, Rico.

Now, can you please update your blog? HAAAAA.
